About nine months after their first worship service on August 25, 1996, the people of Haven Fellowship Church adopted bylaws and incorporated to become an autonomous, self-supporting, and legally constituted church on May 16, 1997. The people of the church met in homes, at a funeral home, and at a local middle school before purchasing land and dedicating their first building on October 24, 1999.
As the people of the church care for one another, they also minister to and with those outside their fellowship. Haven Fellowship Church currently supports the following agencies financially and with the involvement of church members:

With historic Baptist principles included in their affirmation of faith but without a Baptist label, Haven Fellowship Church has become an ecumenical or interdenominational family of faith with church members from a number of backgrounds, including Baptist, Catholic, Christian Church, Episcopal, Lutheran, Methodist, Presbyterian, and probably a few other heritages.
Haven Fellowship Church values diversity and enjoys reflecting the kingdom of God, which includes a mosaic of Christian heritages. The church also values being connected to other churches and organizations that seek to serve God’s purposes and follow Christ’s example with the guidance of God’s Spirit.
