Session 1: Learning to Schedule Time with God (Daily Office)
What are spiritual disciplines, and why do they matter? Discover how setting apart intentional moments for prayer and communion with God, as Jesus and early Christians did, can transform your daily life.
Potluck Dinner
Bring your favorite soup or chili to share at our potluck dinner.
Session 2: Learning to Rest (Sabbath)
Does life have to be this busy? Explore the biblical gift of Sabbath and how embracing rest can lead to spiritual and emotional renewal.
Session 3: Learning to Say No (Fasting)
Is fasting still relevant today? Learn how saying “no” through fasting can actually help us say “yes” to deeper dependence on God and a flourishing faith.
Session 4: Putting it into Practice (Ash Wednesday)
What happens when we actually commit to these spiritual disciplines? As we conclude our study on Ash Wednesday, we’ll reflect on how these practices shape our lives and draw us closer to Christ.
We invite you to take this journey with us as we learn, grow, and experience the abundant life God desires for us.
