Church Administrator

Job Description

The Church Administrator position supports the mission of Haven Fellowship by keeping the church financial records, helping the ministerial staff in communication with members and visitors, and coordinating with vendors for services.

Hours and Compensation

Hours:16-20 per week

Salary:$16.10/hr

Qualifications

Personality: Positive personality that values others as children of God

Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Experience: Demonstration of efficient self-motivation, organizational skills, and detail-oriented capabilities

Qualifications: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks required

Job Responsibilities

Office Administration (estimated at 40-50% or time) 

  • Work closely with ministerial staff and ministry team leaders to aid in their missions 
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail/phone calls 
  • Communicate in written form with members/visitors 
  • Maintain church directories and membership/visitor files 
  • Maintain documents within the lobby   
  • Purchase office supplies 
  • Maintain list of vendors and coordinate services 
  • Manage Church calendar 

Bookkeeping (estimated at 50-60% of time)

  • Manage accounts receivable and payable through QuickBooks 
  • Process expense reports and reimbursements  
  • Process payroll and taxes through QuickBooks 
  • Produce reports and prepare/distribute contribution statements 
  • File and maintain financial records
