A Word from Ernie

January Newsletter

C. S. Lewis said, “You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream”. I thought about that as our Ministry Teams met together recently to look at the coming year. We had lots of participation, lots of energy, and several new ideas which you will see in the coming weeks. Do you have some ideas for your Haven family?

Children's Ministry Update

Looking Back on 2019
Haven Kids had a great 2019 with memorable events and moments where children grew in their knowledge and love of Christ and blessed our church through their involvement.

Read our  2020 Children’s Ministry Team Report from Dee Seymore and the Children’s Ministry team for a complete recap on the year to see what the children were up to in 2019.

Looking Forward to 2020
This ministry team, led by Jim Brown, met at the Ministry Team Kick-Off and is looking forward to an exciting year.

One early change you will see in 2020 is our reinvigorated Children’s Church. Last year we had every 1st and 5th Sunday off. Starting in February we will have children’s church on the first Sunday as well as the 2-4th Sundays.

On the fifth Sunday of every month we will be introducing Family Sundays with special ways to plug in children to the morning service.

Read the full Children’s Church Update for more details on Children’s Church and Family Sundays.

A Focus On Prayer in 2020

One of the goals of the Outreach Team this year is to reach out and pray for our community (and pray for our church as well).  We invite you to join in by sharing how we can pray for you and by joining us in prayer for our neighbors here in Conyers.
