Revelation Reading Plan - Haven Fellowship Church

Reading Through Revelation

The book of Revelation is the Bible’s grand finale. Through vivid visions and powerful imagery, Jesus reveals God’s ultimate victory over evil, His faithfulness to His people, and the glorious future He has prepared for those who belong to Him. Yet Revelation is not an isolated story. It builds on promises, patterns, and prophecies found throughout the rest of Scripture.

In this five-week reading plan, Revelation is paired with selected readings from Daniel and Isaiah. While these books were written centuries apart, they all point toward the same future reality. Daniel reveals God’s sovereignty over earthly kingdoms and His promise of an everlasting kingdom. Isaiah looks forward to God’s coming salvation, the defeat of evil, and the renewal of creation. Revelation brings these themes together, showing how God’s promises find their fulfillment in Jesus Christ.

As you read, notice both the similarities and the development of these prophecies. The same God who spoke through Daniel and Isaiah later revealed His purposes to John. Together, these books proclaim God’s plan to judge evil, establish His kingdom, gather His people, and make all things new.

As you read, don’t worry about understanding every symbol or solving every interpretive question. Instead, focus on the book’s major themes: the glory of Christ, the faithfulness of God, the call to endure, and the hope of a new creation. Revelation was given not to produce fear or speculation but to encourage believers with the confidence that Jesus Christ reigns and that His promises will never fail.

Over the next five weeks, ask the Lord to help you see His story more clearly, trust His promises more deeply, and live more faithfully as you await the return of Christ. You can follow this reading plan right here on this page or read along in the Logos Bible Study app, where you can track your progress and access the readings across all your devices.

Week 1: The Risen Christ and His Churches (Revelation 1–4)

Revelation begins with a vision of the risen Christ and His messages to seven churches, calling them to remain faithful amidst both encouragement and correction. Daniel’s example of faithfulness in exile reminds us that God still calls His people to trust and obey Him in every generation.

Reflection: What is Jesus calling you to trust, change, or endure today?

☐ Day 1 – Revelation 1 + Daniel 1:1–9
☐ Day 2 – Revelation 2:1–11 + Daniel 1:10–21
☐ Day 3 – Revelation 2:12–29 + Daniel 2:1–13
☐ Day 4 – Revelation 3:1–13 + Daniel 2:14–23
☐ Day 5 – Revelation 3:14–4:11 + Daniel 2:24–45

Week 2: The Lamb and God’s Kingdom (Revelation 5–9)

As the Lamb takes the scroll and begins to unfold God’s plan, Revelation reminds us that history is ultimately under Christ’s authority. Daniel’s visions of earthly kingdoms and God’s everlasting kingdom help us understand that every human power is temporary, but God’s reign will never end.

Reflection: How does Christ’s authority give you confidence in uncertain times?

☐ Day 1 – Revelation 5 + Daniel 2:46–49; 7:1–8
☐ Day 2 – Revelation 6 + Daniel 7:9–28

Week 3: Conflict and Faithful Witness (Revelation 10–14)

These chapters reveal the spiritual conflict that stands behind history and the call for God’s people to remain faithful under pressure. Daniel’s prophecies help us see that opposition to God’s kingdom is not new, but neither is God’s faithfulness to His people.

Reflection: Where do you need courage to remain faithful to Christ?

☐ Day 1 – Revelation 10:1–11:6 + Daniel 9:20–27

Week 4: God’s Judgment and Victory (Revelation 14–19)

Revelation announces the downfall of every power that opposes God and celebrates His righteous judgment. The transition from Daniel to Isaiah highlights both themes: God will judge evil, but He will also save His people and establish His kingdom forever.

Reflection: How does God’s promise to make all things right give you hope today?

☐ Day 1 – Revelation 14:17–16:3 + Daniel 11:40–12:13
☐ Day 2 – Revelation 16:4–21 + Isaiah 24:1–9

☐ Day 5 – Revelation 18:21–19:10 + Isaiah 26:1–19

Week 5: The Return of the King and All Things New (Revelation 19–22)

Christ returns in power and glory to defeat evil and establish His righteous rule. The final visions of Revelation reveal the fulfillment of God’s promises: a new heaven and new earth, the New Jerusalem, and God’s people dwelling in His presence forever. Isaiah’s prophecies of salvation and new creation remind us that this has always been God’s destination for His people.

Reflection: Which promise of God’s future kingdom gives you the greatest hope today?

☐ Day 1 – Revelation 19:11–21 + Isaiah 26:20–27:13
☐ Day 2 – Revelation 20 + Isaiah 65:1–16
