Reading Through Romans
The book of Romans is Paulβs clearest and most comprehensive explanation of the gospelβthe good news of what God has done through Jesus Christ to save sinners and make them part of His family. Yet Romans is more than a theological letter; it is God’s story written for us. From humanityβs need for salvation to God’s gift of righteousness through faith, from new life in the Spirit to lives transformed for His glory, Romans shows how the gospel fits into the larger story of Scripture and God’s plan for the world. Over the next six weeks, we invite you to read through Romans and discover how God’s saving work in Christ not only changes our eternal destiny but also shapes how we live every day. As you read, ask the Lord to help you see His story more clearlyβand your place within it.

Paul opens Romans by showing our deep need for the gospel. All peopleβwhether openly rebellious or outwardly religiousβstand guilty before a holy God. Yet the gospel is good news because it reveals Godβs righteousness offered to us through faith. Before we can understand grace, we have to see our need for it.
